Hello My Name Is
This is my 24th year of teaching in middle school. For the past 5 years, I have been teaching 6th grade. This year I will again be teaching 6th grade. As students are transitioning from elementary school a middle school, I want to help them feel at ease and not to worry about being in middle school and especially not being afraid of math.
With this being said, I would like a little help from you, the parent(s). Please make sure your child brings all their materials they need for their classes each day. They must also bring their agenda so they can write the homework they need to do if not finished in class. The agenda is a very important tool for the student and also for the parents. By checking your child's agenda each day, you can see which classes he/she has homework in. If not checked daily, your child may stop writing in the agenda and you, the parent, will not be able to tell if he/she has homework or not.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call me via the school phone number. I look forward to getting to know your child this year and also hearing from you.
